Hajime Nakaya is new to the competition, coming all the way from Sapporro, Hokkaido, Japan!  He won 3rd prize for his carving "Owl - Looking at Happiness from the Shore" and collected $800!  Way to go, Hajime!!

This carving is held in temporary storage by
the City of Campbell River.
