David Koenig 2008
Windy Point
Professional Category David Koenig is a self taught artist from the Okanagan Valley. He has dabbled in several
mediums from graphite, watercolours, acrylics, bronze and wood sculpture to custom log
homes. He is presently designing and carving custom doors, entryways, fireplace mantles
and free standing sculptures for a variety of customers from wineries and businesses to
private homeowners. "My need to create art is my gift from all the beauty that surrounds
and constantly moves me".
This was his first year in our competition and he won 1st place!
His carving was won as the grand prize in our raffle, but can still be seen at Ironwood Place, which is the seniors'
apartments across from Thrifty Foods.
