Amateur Category This was local-carver Bob Hayhurst's 8th year in the competition. Bob usually alternates between chainsaw and driftwood carving. In chainsaw carving, he thinks he's more of a novice as he's only done about six chainsaw carvings total. He looks forward to the yearly event and enjoys the challenge. Seeing everyone again and the carvings evolving each day brings him back year after year. Bob received 3rd place and $500 this year.
