Rupert: I started carving fulltime 8 years ago at Alert Bay, B.C. Before that I carved plaques with Joe Peters Jr. for about 6months. I carve mainly in red cedar but also use red cedar and alder. Some of my teachers have been Wayne Alfred, Beau Dick, Don Svanivik, Steven Bruce, Vince Shaunessey, and Shaun Karpes.
